Secondly, we would like to make an announcement of Wacom, which is going to support the best game contest held during our next conference.
Wacom invites you to participate in a game development contest. It is called ‘Dare with Bamboo”. Your challenge is to create a game that is fun to play with a Bamboo pen & touch tablet. The top 5 games will be invited to take part in the Dare Protoplay event. This is an international games event in Edinburgh, United Kingdom, held at the middle of August. At this event, a jury of game industry experts will select the winner. The grand prize is 1000 pounds in cash! In addition, you will also have a chance that your game is published to the Wacom tablet users worldwide.
The contest is aimed for talented games development students. The game has to be created in Flash. Wacom provides a free SDK and development tools. The SDK gives you access to specific functions of a pen tablet such as pressure sensitivity and touch gestures.
If you are interested in taking part in this contest, you need to register on the Dare with Bamboo contest website. You can register as individual or as team. Registration ends by the end of May. You have time to submit your game until 11th of July.
There are already teams from US, China, India and Brazil that are taking part in this contest. Surely Russia should not stay behind! So, now is your chance to show your talents to the world.
